i know some bae-fans have doubted my ‘loyalty’ (haha, i almost typed ‘fidelity’!), but the truth is (i suspect) YJ will always hold a very special place in my heart.
yes, i’ll be the first to admit that i no longer feel as strongly about YJ as before.
but hey, it’s been, what, 10 years since i first became a bae-fan back in 2002. if we can’t even expect a gal to stay passionately in love 10 years into a relationship, then how can we expect a fan to continue holding her ardor and passion?
but he’s my first ever idol…! he’s the one who ignited my entire korean fever, so to speak… and he also brought out my (old but latent) love for writing. guess if not for him, i might not have dabbled this much and this deeply into the internet and thereafter, the various social media sites and stuff. did you know that all these actually sorta changed my (work) life? yea, i probably wouldn’t have become the freelance corporate writer cum translator that i am, the social media consultant that i am today.
yes, as cliched as it sounds, YJ has changed my life.
even if just for that, i would remember YJ for life, keke! but seriously, YJ still warms my heart. it’s just that instead of what it used to be, a burning fever, it’s now more like a glow. still bright, still warm, just not as feverish as what it used to be.
and aigoo, how does this man stay so young?!!
i probably have aged 10 years just like the 10 years that have passed, but where has time and age left their marks on him? (okie, that’s just a rhetorical question and no none really needs to reply me… i know, i know, celebs usually go to the skin doctors, the skin clinics and there’s a whole host of skincare treatments and therapies available for them…)
and i really wanna share these two GIFs from his The Journey in Search of the Beauty of Korea documentary. thanks for sharing, yasai-ssi!
he’s so cute, so cute, so cute!
